How much does a logo cost?
The question I hear most often: "how much is a logo?" The honest answer is that the price reflects what goes into the final file, not the file itself.
The question I hear most often is "how much does a logo cost?" The honest answer: you are not paying for the final file, you are paying for the work that leads to it: research, thinking, testing and correct deliverables.
What drives the price? First, research time: for a logo to stand out, I need to know what the market around you does, and what it does not. Second, the number and quality of directions presented; three considered proposals usually beat ten rushed ones. Third, applications: how the logo behaves on a storefront, on packaging, on a phone screen, in print and in an e-shop header.
Deliverables matter too. A proper logo is delivered in vector form (scalable without quality loss), with versions for dark and light backgrounds, for print and for screen. If your designer does not provide vector files, you will pay again at the print shop.
I have designed more than fifty logos, for restaurants, bars, industry and healthcare professionals. If you are thinking about a new logo, start with the project form: tell me what you do and I will reply with a direction and a quote, no strings attached.
